The Pallet Racking Gravity Pin is designed to prevent accidental uplift of the rack beam by pallet handling equipment. An additional safety feature of the Pallet Racking Gravity Pin is that if subjected to excess upwards force, it will shear to prevent the rack from toppling over.
Beam Pallet Racking Gravity Pin MUST be installed in the locking hole in both the end connectors of every beam.
Note that any uplift of a beam with Pallet Racking Gravity Pins installed will cause damage to the Gravity Pin, both the beam end connectors and the racking uprights. Any damaged racking components must be replaced in accordance with local requirements.
